Kids say the darndest things ....

My eleven year old daughter looked at the school lunch menu this morning and saw that they had vegetarian pizza listed. She said " I don't know why they call this vegetarian pizza, because it's plain cheese and cheese is not a vegetable !!!"

is a vegetable! So I suppose the "vegetable" on the pizza is the tomato sauce. GRIN.

That is so funny! I remember when Reagan tried to pull the whole "ketchup is a veg" routine for the national school lunch program in the early eighties. We had a pizza palor nearby that used to advertise veg pizza which was actually cheese pizza. I gave them a little lesson on the cheese, adding lots of veggies and no olive oil and it is now a very popular pizza.
