New Discussion Board Issues

Postby JeffN » Tue Jun 22, 2021 7:07 am

Let’s start a new list of any concerns/problems with the new board.

It looks like the search engines and search functions are now working and if any aren’t, they are working on it.

I have contacted them about the linked pictures. All are supersized and we only see like 1/3 of the picture. I also sent them the one from Veggie Sue this morning.

If there are any other issues, list them here. Keep it short, sweet and too the point and I will add it to this list

Thanks
Jeff

I just made a post and wanted to edit and I realized there is no way to edit my post.

Thanks

I guess this means I should fix my bonehead posts?

In forum search, now lots of results for omega, but still none for DHA; also none for B12.

It looks like the forum was set up as a separate website. It would be nice if there was a menu of links across the top to get to the main website pages from the forum?

When experimenting with search, at one point I got an error message, which I cannot replicate, that the minimum word size is 4 letters.

Soy, another 3 letter word, shows no search results. Rice, a 4 letter word, shows many results.

If there is a minimum 4 letter word size for search, if this is something that can be altered it would be helpful to do so.

The following error appears when entering a 1 or 2-letter word, and except for the echoed word is the same for any word:

"The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: d3 . You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 4 characters and must not contain more than 84 characters excluding wildcards."

Any 3-letter word returns this error: "No suitable matches were found."

I need to change my email address but can't find the User Control Panel. Has it moved or am I just missing it?
Thanks

I don't see a checkbox to be notified via email of selected discussions (" Notify me of replies"). These are the only options I see. Maybe, this function has been discontinued, IDK.
