I have a solid 0 to report for this week. I would say it is a good maintain, as I am holding steady down 20lbs from Christmas when I looked at my parents drawer of pills and purposed that I was not going there...

I'm eating mostly mwl with some regular plan food in moderation and holding pretty steady at 107 (5'0") with a tummy... I could probably lose more, but feel really great right where I am.

Good morning, everyone! Letha, I'm glad to see you feeling well enough to write a somewhat longer post than usual. I'm still thinking of you every day and sending you good vibes for a speedy recovery.

I'm down 1.2 pounds, for a total of 27 pounds lost since January 1. Yay! I'm very happy with this loss, as I was on vacation last week and ate some off plan food.

I've done well on my goals for this month. My goal for my weight was to get below 218 and stay there. Today I weigh 215. My goal for my diabetes was to have a fasting blood sugar consistently below 100. It has been below 100 for the majority of the time.

I'm feeling good about May and I'm ready for June! I hope everyone else is, too!

Good morning all. I lost 6 pounds this week. It’s great to pass the 100 pounds loss mark. If I can just repeat that 3 more times I’ll be at a healthy weight. I’m on plan and planning to stay that way. I’m off to change my ticker.

my official weigh-in is down 0.8 from last week

which sounds good unless you know that after my 5 days away I was actually down 2.5 MORE pounds, and I've cleverly gained them back by faltering off-plan all week since my return. :(

Oh well. I'm still struggling but at least I can clearly see the evidence of eating WELL contrasted with my poor choices.

If only discouragement didn't make it even harder to make wise choices.

Hi Everyone,

Congratulation Letha on breaking the 100 lb loss. I hope you continue to feel better.

No weight change for me. I ate more with the holiday. I have to say I am going to change my definition of a "holiday". I am going to consider my weigh day (Thursdays) my new "holidays". This way in my mind I am eating healthy for the day instead of reinforcing the over indulgences in the old way of thinking. It may sound goofy, but in my goofy head I think it will work.

Wishing everyone a healthy week.

Felini - sometimes the way you look at things does help to get out of the mentality of indulge because it's...... I do a "Remember, it's just any other day, so eat what you normally do" It helps me to turn my nose up on things like potato salad at cookouts.

I am down 1.4 this week.

Letha - I'm proud of you for sticking it out to make such a huge difference. I'm really sorry that you still aren't feeling well though. I'm glad you are getting something down. The McD noodle and miso soups do help me when I'm sick.

Toadfood - way to go on keeping the slow and steady going. It will get you there. Believe me it will.

TXjack can't believe you lost so much. Good lord. Way to go though.

I've been out of touch for what seems to be an eternity! I have so much to catch up on here, but I wanted to post that I maintained my weight while on vacation. I was really hoping to have lost, but I ended up having a couple of meals that were not 100% compliant [a few tortilla chips and some guac...], so maintaining on vacation was just fine!

Looking forward to catching up with how everyone's doing!

Why are people so misguided? I understand how it happens and why but its so frusterating talking to them.. Its so hard knowing that I don't enjoy talking to my family.. The only people I can talk to sanely is here, Thanks for being here everyone.
Great job on the loses! I stayed the same this week.

Congrats, Letha!!

I'm down .5 lb.

I'm actually kind of shocked that I lost anything since I ate so much over the memorial day weekend...and nothing McD friendly!

I'm gonna do better this week! :)

I'm getting the idea that Thursday is the weigh-in day. :) Since I just started, I'll wait until next week. Congratulations on all your successes this week.

I made a good lunch today, and had enough left over for 2 more generous meals. It was a sort of stew with onions, black beans, diced tomatoes, potatoes, and frozen veggies. I felt full all afternoon, which is not how I usually feel. I think the bread I ate was making me feel hunger later on.

Weigh In

Postby beanie » Thu May 28, 2009 3:40 pm

Hi -
It's Thursday and that means it's weigh in day here in MWL Land.
Post your weekly loss/gain/hold-steady sometime today.
Tomorrow, I'll add everything up and post the results.

I'm at 0 for the week.
I'm hoping for a loss by next Thursday. It's been a couple weeks since I've been able to report anything substantial.

Why the drop?

Postby txjack » Thu May 28, 2009 3:58 pm

MaryW wrote:great job, txjack! you're making excellent progress. why do you think this week's weight loss was so big? (just curious)

I stayed on plan 100% but since I have been feeling so much better, I got out this weekend and cleaned out my garage. I rearranged, swept, mopped. I did other things around the house and moved around like a wild man I felt so good. Don't laugh, but, at the end of each day, I could barely lift my legs to take off my clothes to shower!! By the next day, though, I was back in action.

I worked and sweated a great deal in the heat (this is Texas), and I guess that must be it. I did these projects (all outdoors) for 3 days over the holiday. I think that's why the larger drop.

I do have to say, though, Tues, Wed, and today, I have been bushed.
