I would love to join!

I started following a plant based diet 2 years ago and have lost 45 pounds, but I'm struggling with the last 15-20 pounds. My weight hasn't budged for a few months now. MWL sounds like a good option because flour, nut, and sugar products are foods that I tend to crave and overindulge in.

Hello I would very much like to join this group please! I tried the engine2 challenge about two years ago and have not eaten meat or dairy since. I do however admittedly eat a lot of vegan junk food, bread, pasta and other processed foods. I have a lot of weight to lose and I am hoping this challenge with give me the push I need in the right direction!

So glad to find this group! I have been 100% MWL for the last 10 days straight. That is a long streak for me. I feel like I can continue to do this if I focus on nutrition and not being overly full. (Overly full just makes me want to eat and eat and eat even more.) I am committing to 31 days of MWL eating and walking my dogs every morning. July will be the month to commit to healthy eating, lowering fasting blood glucose, lowering blood pressure so I can get off these pills, and lowering cholesterol so I don't have to take more pills. Who's with me?

My high weight is 170. I lost 20 pounds a few years ago, kept it off mostly and have only recently added about 6 pounds. I am 153.6 this morning. My long term goal is 130 pounds. My July goal is 8 pounds to 145. Don't you like those even numbers?? Even if I do not make my weight loss goal, I will be feeding my body what it needs and will be lessening my medical problems a little every day.

We can do this! A 31 day streak!

Hi. I would love to join the group. I've eaten a predominantly plant based diet for 7 years. I have a pattern of great, healthy eating, losing weight and then reverting to eating junk, all be it vegan junk, and gaining back a portion or all of the weight I've lost. I'm so tired of this viscous cycle. Now I've been diagnosed with Graves Disease (overactive thyroid) and I realize I'm more out of control than I thought because Graves should make it harder to gain weight. Today I'm 204.2 with 38.1% body fat. So I'm wearing all the fat I've been eating and I'm sick of it. Thanks for listening.

Greetings! I am currently reading The Starch Solution while simultaneously revamping the foods I am stocking and preparing. More aggressively doing this for myself while also delicately weaving it in for my family as well. I have found that the best way to rock the boat is doing so gently so I am massaging it in for them while they just think I am on a "health kick". It is a happy coincidence that this weigh in session is beginning just as I am getting started with Dr. McDougall's program. I can't ignore that kind of synchronicity so here I am! Count me in. I will add that it has been just a week of the starch diet and I am seeing results right away. Already down 3 pounds.

I would like to join this group. I am a fat vegan who is ready to get serious about MWL. I’ve let myself have “a little of this” and “a little of that” and was in denial when my weight crept up. Time to get real!
Highest weight: 272 (2012)
MWL Starting weight: 230.5 (July 2020)
Interim goal weight: 199 (Can't remember the last time I was below 200!)
Goal weight: 150

Thank you very much for sponsoring the program. I am looking forward to participating in and following the McDougal program for my optimal weight. I am currently following most of the guidelines but need to drop the junk foods. I am looking forward to the accountability and journaling

I'm in! Just when I thought I would have to try and gut this out on my own, I saw the email for this MWL group and knew I had to take part. I'm not going to stress about it, but I truly want to do this. July is my birthday month, and it's perfect to set a goal to feel and look better a year from now after a good start with this group. So Hello everyone, and looking forward to learning and doing what I need to to have a better healthy future~ :)
