Day 2 (Sun.)

Postby Groovy Granny » Sun Sep 16, 2007 3:18 am

Had a fabulous day yesterday. Only thing added to my menu was a little fruit water ice.

Today:

corn thins with nut butter (not 100% MWL)

banana-cantaloupe-flax smoothie

huge salad, one of the McDougall dressings

split pea-barley-mushroom soup

watermelon

'cream' of celery and asparagus soup with fresh parsley

If hungry later will have plan popcorn, which I didn't get to yesterday.

Enjoy your day and happy McDougalling!

Had a great McDougalling weekend! Hoping y'all did, also.

Day 3 -

corn thins, mixed greens, tomato (soon our wonderful summer tomatoes will be gone)

banana-flax-cantaloupe smoothie

white bean soup with escorole

pluots

salad, McD's Caesar dressing, baked yam, 1/4 avocado, steamed mustard greens

I see that your plan is not 100% MWL.
(flax, avocado, tahini)

Is there a reason?
Unable to eliminate all fatty foods?
I do a more restricted Program to maintain my weight & health. I have been McDougalling for about 30 years, with a long transition, until I finally accepted this lifestyle, stayed on Program and reached my goal back in 2006.

Malva, guess you are right. I'm at goal weight, and Dr. McDougall doesn't ban those foods, only if trying to lose weight. Reason I post on the MWL thread is because I'm trying not to do white flour. Can't go on the gluten free thread cause will eat whole wheat on occasion, so maybe I should start another thread called "Maintenance". [color=red]

Or you could simply add to your signature that you are on maintenance.

That's great that you've reached your goal weight!
A lot of folks are struggling here to stay on target.
Your example of your success will be of benefit to others.
