We began the MWL on Friday, so today is day 3. This is what we've had so far (a bit of a deviation from the original Menu I posted):
Friday:
[B]: oatmeal & honey vanilla chamomille [hot] herbal tea
[S]: banana
[L]: boiled red potatoes, salsa, corn, green salad
[S]: 2 clementines & apple cinnamon [iced] herbal tea
[D]: Middle Eastern Lentils (including the salad, no dressing)
[S]: popcorn & Mother's Milk [hot] herbal tea
Saturday:
[B]: Potato Hash (MWL book, p.226) & Coffee with sugar only
[S]: 2 clementines & one banana
[L]: Spicy Red Beans (New McD Cookbook, p.287) & brown rice
[D]: Baked sweet potatoes w/lime & green salad
[S]: caramel rice cake
Sunday:
[B]: oatmeal
[L]: vegetable soup (New McD Cookbook, p.151 -- left out pasta)
[D]: Tangy Garbanzo Dip (MWL book, p.218) & raw veggies, rice cakes
Overall MWL experience so far:
Minus: I've spent A LOT of time in the kitchen!!!!
Plus: Feel great, like my hunger, while present, is even -- less extreme blood sugar swings, I guess. Sleeping better, and less likely to yell at the children. Really liking how I feel, and I'm looking forward to more benefits with hopefully not so much time in the kitchen.
