Jan 09 "ON PLAN PLANNING TO STAY THAT WAY" MWL

Postby LauraA » Fri Dec 26, 2008 6:08 pm

Hi Everyone - Several of us who are following MWL have a thread each month to offer support and encouragement to each other. We will begin a new group on January 1, 2009. It works out well, because some of us choose to weigh in each Thursday. Anyway, please join us on January 1, or look for our Dec thread to see what it's like. If you choose, weigh in on Jan 1, and post the amount lost or gained. Take care, LauraA

Hi all~

Count me in too!

I did the 12 day program in October, but my weight stayed the same. I then went on vacation to my brothers and tried to stay McD. I was vegan but more fat then needed and upon returning never got back to McDing. So I started again today. I don't have any health problems, just need to lose about 30 pounds. I have been a vegetairn for about 4 year, but not vegan.

From reading the post I just did not give it enough time. So I am here again trying to get the weigh off. I do extercise about 1 hour a day and get 10,000 step every day.

Thanks for everything! :-D

Count me in too. While my wife does not subscribe to this plan for her but she is supporting me so it should be much easier. She does want to get more veggies into her diet so I told her I would start preparing enough veggies/fruits for the whole family. Both my kids love fruits and veggies (my daughter loves to eat a small bag of mini carrots for snack) so I think it should be easy to stay on track while home....now I just need to stay away from all the junk food that is brought into the office every day (cakes, candy, etc) :D

I'm all in, and hoping Jan will be easier than Dec! I will be starting on Jan 2 though...Jan 1 will still be a "treat day" [my b-day].

Looking forward to it already!

Welcome to all who are joining. Also, we welcome anyone who wants to stop by with comments and support. For those who choose to weigh in, use your Jan 1 weight as your starting point, and then we'll weigh in again each Thursday. Take care, LauraA

Count me in, too! I have a couple of holiday pounds to lose, but I'm mostly just looking to maintain after that. However, I've found that MWL works best for me in general even when I'm not trying to lose, since it's too easy for me to overeat on things like flour products and dried fruit. So this will be a good place for me to stay accountable! Here's to a healthy 2009!
