Congratulations Letha...you look great...you don't know how many times I wished for a face to put with the name of the gal who has done so much to assist me in my journey. Your organization of recipes and photos of food have really helped me. Thanks...and here is to another great year!!

You are amazing Letha - you have been such a strong support for so many people on this board! I am wondering if you would be interested (if she asked) in going on Oprah, and teaching her, and all of her viewers how to eat, and overcome their health problems?

They tried to make me go on Oprah
I said no, no, no
Yes I've been fat but when I come back
You'll know, know, know
I ain't got the time
And if my daddy thinks I'm fine
Just try to make me go on Oprah
I won't go, go, go

Thanks everyone for your kind words of support and encouragement.
Letha

I thought that you must be pretty tall. I'm 5'6" (actually closer to 5'51/2" tall. I think that my goal of 150 is probably a good bit too high, but I'll get there and see. You are such a great inspiration to so many of us, not because you started out with a lot of weight to lose, and not even (I don't think) because you have done so well. I think that you inspire us because you write so well, organize recipes and posts so well, "keep on keeping on", and now we see (through the virtual walk) your great imagination!! You go girl!!! take care, Laura
Take care, LauraA

Here's to another great year, Letha!

By the way, how are you celebrating your anniversary?

Celebrating 1-yr anniversary and success

Postby sagegirl » Thu Sep 10, 2009 3:15 pm

I could surmise from your many posts that you were a beautiful person "inside" - now it seems you are one on the outside also. CONGRATULATIONS. Last week I started to snack on something I shouldn't, and, immediately, your strong self-control came to mind. So, that's one of the ways I have been helped by you, along with your shared recipes. Thank you, and I will continue to TRY to follow your good example, along with the many others on the forum.

BASK IN THE ADULATION! YOU DESERVE IT!

Letha, I'm so glad you posted pictures. It is great to put a face on the person I have in my mind! I already had the body melting away, but the pictures really slap a person between the eyes.

I'm so glad that you included us in your celebration today!
It IS the food! :unibrow:
