What's impressive is that being 18 pounds overweight was enough to stir you to action!! It takes some of us being hundreds of pounds overweight before we finally "get it". You could have easily shrugged it off and focused only on getting your spouse to lose weight. After all, he was the one with the "real" problem, right? You get a gold star as far as I'm concerned!

You and your husband look great, Nordgirl! Congratulations to both of you on turning a potential disadvantage (your husband's diabetes) into an asset that led you down the path to even better health. I hope the results are lifelong.

I love the pictures. Your lack of smile in the before shots tells so much about your unhappiness.

You not only lost weight, but 10 years too. And along the way you got a big shot of beauty.

Thanks for sharing.

What a great story all the way (weigh) around! I also chuckled w/the grilled chicken salad you and your girlfriends were eating. You after pics were just incredible, and to involve your whole family is perfect! Enjoy every bit of your new found energy and lack of a muffin top! You guys are both walking testimonies tha this WOE WORKS! :-P
