YEAH! I know how frustrated you were about the weight refusing to budge before, this must be an incredible relief. Maybe you'll be able to start adding to the MWL weigh-ins soon?

Yeah!! Debbie, that is great!! I just lost one pound so far - 19 to go!!! Sounds easy but we'll see. I had to teach a Home Ec Class today and they were making chocolate chip cookies. If I didn't have my gluten problem, I probably would have weakened. I feel strong, but I did have an extra piece of fruit to make up for being good. Anyway, keep up the good work. I am rooting for you!!

Congratulations! It feels so good, doesn't it? I am down by 20 today! That is a huge accomplishment for me as any other "diet" I've tried I only managed to lose 12-13 lbs before I gave up in total frustration, driven by hunger. I love this program. You feel great on it, you lose weight effortlessly (love the idea I don't have to kill myself with exercise). Now, with all this healthful energy I have from eating nutritious foods, I have am so energized I can't stop from working out in the yard every afternoon/evening!!! My wife's amazed because all I wanted to do before when I came home from work was lounge around, tired, sitting in front of the stupid computer screen. Great job!

This is SO GOOD TO HEAR! It was so bizarre before, wasn't it?? It just made no sense! This is going to make such a huge difference for you, and I can't WAIT to see the results!

Hi Deb~

How did I miss this post back in May?? Who knows, any way I am so happy for you. I know how you feel about the whole eating a ton of food and not losing weight. I am pretty much there and when I read here about people eating a ton of food and the weigh just melting off, it amazes me. The processed food thing was crazy, but I am back doing it again as it seems the only way I can lose any weight. I have to be so strict, eat no salt, eat a ton of veggies and limit my starch or I am gaining. I have been to the Dr. and was checked and they say everything is ok, which is good and bad. I would really like to have a mentor in this way of eating, but that seems hard to come by as well. And then I feel sometimes people think I am not being truthful about what I eat is why the weight is not melting off. Who knows! But I will just keep on, keeping on!

But I am very proud of you and where you are going now!!

Teresa,
I know how you feel! I too was doing all things right and not losing. Then I read the study that says Aspartame can cause you to produe more insulin and not lose weight. I stopped a 4litre of Diet Pesi a day habit and in the last 5 weeks have dropped 12 #'s. I am doing everything else the same so for me it was so true!
