30 Pounds Lost!

Postby Atom » Thu Jun 02, 2011 6:49 am

I began the McDougall Program on April 18, 2011. Today is Day 46 and marks 30 pounds lost! This program works. We have been so lied to! Starches DO NOT make you FAT! I am walking proof. Dr. McDougall was right when he said the fat will "melt off" on a starch centered diet!

My word that is a large loss in such a small period of time. Way to go, and way to stick with it.

Just curious what your weight was when you started, Atom? That IS a big loss for a short period of time, but if you were very overweight when you started, it would come off faster. :)

I was very overweight at 265 pounds! I eat plenty and don't allow myself to go hungry at all. I often even eat when I don't feel hungry. (Like this morning for breakfast). I want to keep those leptin levels up! However, I most certainly eat a lot less calories than I used to because I am not eating cheese, candy bars, pastries, Nutella (my ex-girlfriend), etc. :P

ok I wasn't going to ask the starting weight. It does make a difference and also how drastic a change it was seems to make a difference.

I agree blog that nothing tastes as well as fit and light feels. I can't wait to get there but I will because that is one of the keys to success, patience.
