Rice Milk

Postby babybear101 » Sun Jun 21, 2009 3:34 pm

Hello, I am very new to this plan, but not new to being a vegan although I have not been following it closely.

What is the thoughts on Rice Milk? I cannot have any dairy of any kind as it makes me very ill, but I do drink Rice Milk. Is this allowed? I only occassionally dirnk soy.
Thanks

Yes, rice milk is allowed. Also soy, almond, and hemp milks. All of the non-dairy milks tend to be fairly high in calories so I believe they are usually best eaten in moderation.

I get the unsweetened rice milk from Trader Joe's. It's great on cereal and in cooking. Going to wean myself off Silk creamer and use ricemilk for coffee as well.
