In the forums we often mention the term adequate nutrition, but what does that mean? is it simply following the international guidelines on macros, micros, minerals, phyto- nutrients, fiber, water, etc...? That doesn't seem to work because we could all easily do that with a few pills a day and we know that doesn't lead to real health. Is it just the food as we say here often within the program? That definitely works (within the program) but then kind of begs the question. Or is it simply any dietary program that doesn't cause outward or inward signs of disease? That seems inadequate too because it fails to take genetics into consideration.
So how does a professional Dietician describe "adequate nutrition" in a way everyone can easily understand? And how would you differentiate "adequate" from "optimal" nutrition?
