Are probiotics necessary? - Redux

Postby Chumly » Fri Sep 07, 2018 11:10 am

Is there any benefit to probiotics after having taken a round of antibiotics for illness or injury?

Great question Michael.
Which brings us to the question of whether we take these probiotics without demonstrated benefit. How many people taking them actually do the homework to see if they are beneficial or a waste of money, or worse.
Does seem as though there is a lot of "wives tales" recommendation of these supplements? What's even more interesting is the number of antibiotic prescriptions that are given when not appropriate. We finally have the message to doctors to quit prescribing them to sooth patients.
