Love all the picts, art work! OK especially loved the princesses. I am Pocahontas with all the cats. Or I was until I got off electronics. well, except right now with the lap top and two cats vying for being on the lap too!

The question of meditation and prayer being equal - maybe mantra meditation and repetitive prayer like with a rosary or worry beads - could be the same. I don't think you have the same type of brain effect of prayer as you do meditation - but the relaxation wold possibly be similar? Interesting.

Happy to hear that you and the WHPB family saw immune benefits of eating this way - and didn't get the wedding virus. also good to know that the post wedding down time was more than just your PA reaction to that exertion. Seems your better and better

I agree - repetitive prayer, rosary or worry bead prayer would be the kind of prayer that would be the most similar to mediation.

Just for fun, I entered what a typical day's worth of meals would have been before I switched to this WOE into the CRONOMETER.

 Hilarious! And hideous :duh: :

4,000 calories
120g protein
190g fats (50% of day's calories from fat!!!!)
3,000 mg sodium
Short on:
Vitamin D
Vitamin E
Vitamin K
Iron

Oh so very glad I changed my ways, for many, many reasons :)

More info on salt and autoimmune disease.

Thus, increased dietary salt intake might represent an environmental risk factor for the development of autoimmune diseases through the induction of pathogenic TH17 cells.

Oh, how weird. I just glanced at that article, Nicole, and immediately noticed the mention of interleukin-17. Thanks to guidance from a friend, I stumbled across several references to interleukin-17, autoimmune diseases, and Vitamin D deficiency. Might be worth investigating in your search for more info.

Hi Nicole,

Loved the picture of the boy in the woods with the trees and all the spirals of light. Thank you.

And thanks for the support about the salt.

Overwhelmed. Think I'll go post a bit of a rant and a sigh in my journal.

xoxo

I had to look that up last night. My DH and I got a good laugh out of it. There was a Halloween video that included the poor dog dressed up as a big chicken with little baby chicks riding on its back. The dog looked embarrassed...

Went for a great walk around Lake Hollywood Reservoir - see the Hollywood sign on the right?

Then I went a little crazy at the Farmer's Market...

Great stuff from the farmer's market! Cook some now for later, and the quantity is less to store (especially the greens! ).

LOL! As long as we're sharing funny videos, here are two of my favorites. Remember, I'm a dog person so that influences my choices.

Merry Christmas from Bailey the Unknown Reindeer

Ultimate Dog Tease

All the fresh produce looks yummy! Got any particular dishes in mind? I've got an Indian weekend going here: Basmati rice with hot & spicy tomato chutney, creamy Indian eggplant, and saag (no paneer). Might do some curried squash, too, as my fridge is overflowing with pattypans and 2 medium-large zukes ... not to mention the fat mutant zucchinis growing in the garden.

HI Nicole,

Loved seeing Hollywoood Reservoir, and also the GORGEOUS produce--

I'm sure you will eat it all! I went today too, and got a small flat--4 pints--of blueberries, two bunches of kale (different kinds), tomatoes, a peach, two cucumbers and an eggplant. I always think I won't eat it all, and always eat it all!!

Well, I might put some of the blueberries in the freezer. . .but I bet at least half of them don't make it there. .

Thanks, I really enjoyed seeing what you bought. You took beautiful shots of everything.

Have a nice restful day.

xoxo
