Saturday weigh-in

Postby KareninTN » Sat Oct 21, 2006 8:28 am

235/142.5/125

I had been stuck at ~145 FOREVER (about 9 months). Just these last two weeks I got more serious about eliminating ALL external fats and saw instant results!

OK, I'm planning to start McDougalling 100% of the time tomorrow :-) But I wanted to be on today's weigh in. Hopefully I won't put on a lot of weight today!

I just love this new board, it has inspired me to start posting again! (I HATED the pop-ups on the old board.)

10 boring things about Ruthie:

1. I'm 23.
2. I'm 5'8 ish.
3. I'm a new Montanan. But forever a Texan.
4. I'm a newly-wed. And have been for over two years. My husband is a health-consious vegan as well.
5. I'm incredibly environmentally concious.
6. I'm very frugal and have, at one point, fed my husband and myself on $100 a month. I'm planning on getting back to that very soon.
7. I have a family history of colon cancer, diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.
8. I love to cook, and I collect vegetarian cookbooks.
9. I'm addicted to the internet.
10. I have a blog. See my profile.

10 weight-loss things about Ruthie:

1. I have been heavier all my cognitive life. It's hereditary. :)
2. I'm pear shaped, which is good.
3. I absolutely love to walk. Fast. For a long time.
4. I have not walked regularly since I started working.
5. I weight 27.5 lbs less than I did on my wedding day.
6. After I got married I lost 40 lbs by jogging and keeping a food journal.
7. I hate jogging.
8. After I graduated from college and started working, I also started binge eating and regained 30 pounds in 3 and a half months.
9. I no longer binge eat on a regular basis. YAY!!!!!!! and have relost 17.5 lbs by conquering that demon.

Week 1:
161.5/161.5/140

(I'm kinda give-or-take about the last number... I don't know for sure because I've never weighed less than 148 before)

There is like 3 weigh in threads. This one seems the most official so here I go again....

136/122/110 (That is the way ya'll are doing it right? High weight-current weight-goal weight?)

And a little about me,

27 years old until next Friday
5ft 3 1/2 inches
Married with two daughters
Live in Western Washington State

And I am McDougalling to improve my health and seeing if it has any positive effect on my bipolar disorder. I began in earnest on October 5/6th and lost 14 lbs pretty fast. I think some was fluid retention because of my high sodium diet, and I am sure some of it was also due to sluggish bowels. Ew, but true. The rest is probably fat loss yay.

I have known about and believed in McDougalling for over 3 years, though have had a really hard time sticking with it. I have arthritis and some other issues so I am really compelled to stick with it this time. I have gotten 2 people converted to this diet, one is my best friend and she has lost 22 lbs since July.

Looking forward to staying the course with ya'll.

(Oh and the weight of 136 is my highest ever, which isn't a lot compared to some, but it was due to medication and sour cream, and I have always had a natural weight of 110-114 when I am active and I want that again.)
