As far as the iron, try pairing your high-iron foods with vit C foods. For instance, black beans with salsa on tacos, bell peppers and hummus, cannellini beans with marinara on pasta. Give it a try and see what happens. I’ve had to do this when pregnant, and it worked.
As far as the statins and cholesterol, well, maybe time for a second opinion?
