CKD and Potassium

Postby Tomater » Sat Jul 01, 2023 12:39 pm

Does FOK list the nutrients in their recipes. I have to monitor potassium so it doesn’t get too high.

You can always lookup potassium for main ingredients

Dr McDougall recently updated a lecture about Kidney Disease. I remember included a discussion about potassium and nutrients of concern.

How To Protect Them?

- Recommends most energy for grains and flours (lower potassium). (~0:40m)
- Plant heavy diets and potassium evidence discussed. (~0:43-45m)
