I, also cracked open my SS book for ideas. I feel like I need something tasty but easy to fix. I don't want to have real rich foods (triggers for me) but just some sauces and some bread once in a while and maybe avocado or tofu once in a while.
I am pretty attached to steal cut oats in the morning with fruit and a big salad at lunch with something else like soup. For dinner, I am ready for a little something different and fruit for dessert.
Anyway, today I waited too long to eat and that was a mistake.
I hope your eating plan works for you! Have a great week !

Ruff wrote:hi Buns, me again Katie/Ruff. Can I help in any way? It seems you have strayed quite a bit, and honestly, over the 12 years I have McDougalled, so have I. Mostly vegan baking in my case...but I'm good at baking... But its so important to get back on track again as soon as possible.
When I have had to restart a couple of things have helped.
1. I can eat as much as I like, when I like, as long as it is on plan. (1st week)
By the end of the week I am usually feeling so much better (honestly sugar does not agree with me giving me flu like symptoms and oil makes my hands hurt so by the end of the week these things have gone again).
2. 2nd week, cut out a snack or two if possible. Replace compliant snacks with fresh fruit.
3. usually back on by track now, so generally all is good, plenty of fresh veg, starches and the occasional complaint treat (Joel furhmans apricot slice being a good one for me).
That first week of eat when and when you want as long as its complaint usually gets me over the hump. And if it doesn't I resort to a 3 day potato hack!
Good luck with your restart and I will try and hang around and cheer you on.

I am so sorry about your poor mom!! My Dad got that exact call, but he has very little contact with any of his grandchildren, so he knew it wasn't real...but MAN!! That really sucks!
But, hey...it's nice to see you back here!! I just came back today, too!! We can cheer each other on!! I'll be praying for your knee surgery, too!

Sorry to hear about what happened to your Mom. It’s no consolation, but these despicable con artists are very skilled and they know exactly what to say.
Banks are so useless. Perhaps they could alert the other account name after ONE large withdrawal. Makes me angry thinking about how their policies are not helpful.
I hope you are all able to quickly put this behind you and not dwell on it. That’s not easy to do, but I wish that for all of you.
