Hi Debbie,

Here is a link to the VeganMoFo FAQ page. It should have answers to your questions there.

I don't have time to set up a blog and participate this year, but I'll be following everyone else's contributions and hoping for a positive response!

"Okay.

1. What is a post punk?
2. Can I use my existing blog?
3. What and how to I link it with the PPK site?
4. Can they hijack my blog?
5. Im not worried about Linsay, its the "others" (Lost fan here).
6. How do I find other McDougaller's on there?
7. Am I doomed if I post a McDougall recipe with honey? Or should I replace it with agave even if I dont actually use it?"

1. Whatever they say it is. (Name of Isa's website, The Post Punk Kitchen)
2. Absolutely.
3. There are instructions on the sign up page.
4. No. They can only take you off the blogroll.
5.
6. We find each other here. Their blogroll will be enormous.
7. Maybe. If the vegan police catch you...

A musical genre. Remember Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols? That was Punk. Post Punk is more alternative rock. Here's the Wikipedia page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post_punk

The Post Punk Kitchen theme song is written in the post punk style:

Back before the web site and forums, Isa and Terry had their own local public access TV show called Post Punk Kitchen, and always had musical guests to help eat the food they cooked. Those bands considered themselves post-punk. You can watch the 4 episodes on Google Video.

2. Can I use my existing blog?

I don't know of anyone who started a *new* blog just for VeganMoFo. Except maybe those with blogs exclusively for things like knitting or kittens - they usually have a second blog for food stuff, anyway.

4. Can they hijack my blog?

All they do is supply a link to your blog along with links to a thousand or so other blogs - nothing more.

5. Im not worried about Linsay, its the "others" (Lost fan here).

Creepy seeing Ben Linus as a good guy in Person of Interest.

7. Am I doomed if I post a McDougall recipe with honey? Or should I replace it with agave even if I dont actually use it?"

I've done it and nobody said a word.

Thanks, VegMommy! It's a labor of love. We (my family and I) work as personal chefs, only McDougall cooking, and the whole enterprise has become quite a passion.

I appreciate your kind words, you made my day.

Beth :)

If anyone would like to write anything for VeganMoFo on pressure cooking, I am happy to write a guest blog post, or provide you with information or a downloadable PDF copy of my book, The New Fast Food: The Veggie Queen Pressure Cooks Whole Food Meals in Less than 30 Minutes.

I have been teaching the McDougall program for the past 10 years. While there is oil in my book, almost all the recipes can easily be prepared without oil.

Feel free to email me at theveggiequeen.com if you are interested in my offer.
