I am starting tomorrow with you all, weighing in at 221. Looking forward to following MWL. Gonna stay with oats, corn, rice primarily, plus fruits/veg of course! Am familair with Dr. McDougall since the late 80s, and every time I follow his advice I feel so much better but I really need to buckle down and lose some weight, and so I am in it with you all to win it!!

Friday February 12th

weigh in day gained 1/2 pound not good but I had a bad week and so now it is time to get this weigh off.

I am so excited to be a part of this group that I couldn't sleep last night! Couldn't wait to get on the scale this am, so...

Down 2 lbs since Mon

this weekend will be challenging with a anniversary to celebrate tonight and then Valentines on Sunday. I am following MWL so I need to either eat before I go out and just have a green salad, or convince him to eat at home!

I had a great week! Oats and blueberries for breakfast, rice, beans and salsa for lunch for the first few days, then Moroccan lentil soup, and sometimes a big green salad. Potatoes with either vegetables or red cabbage for dinner. Bananas and oranges as snack. I’m eating a lot, but not binging at all. My only exercise was one water aerobics class—I wish it was Spring and that I could walk!!

From Sunday to today, I lost 1 pound, but my initial loss from Friday to Sunday was 5 1/2 pounds (which was probably water weight due to giving up salt). Including that big initial loss, I lost 6 ½ pounds.

My weight this morning was 190.6. I plan to do the same thing this week, and maybe add another water class.

Lost from 165 to 162.5 so 2.5 lbs lost. Still above where I was two weeks ago but I will take it. :-D

Good morning all,

I lost 700g this week, which is annoying because it's half way between 1 and 2 pounds :?
But, it's also good because it's 700g off.

I think I'm still dipping too much into vegan goodies, and they just seem to add up over the course of the week. So for next week I'll try and put more emphasis on fruit and veg with my starches and for snacks, rather than grabbing a handful of tofu bits or a can of coconut water.

We went out for a meal yesterday and I ended up with a lovely rice and bean tortilla, no cheese, hold the sour cream. It was on second attempt as the first one they sent out had chicken breast in it and sour cream on the side. But they got it right on 2nd attempt and it was quite tasty.

Oh yeah, and I forgot the pin for my ticker, so that's currently not up to date. Such a numpty :o

Gained 1 lb this week. Went from 191 to 192.0. Eating compliant, so it may just be water weight. Good luck to all in this new week. Happy Valentines Day. Have a blessed week.

I weighed 445.2. I have lost .4 pounds, so at least it is something.
It is hard to trust the diet. But in order to build trust with the diet I have to actually follow it! I have had some challenges, but every day follows closer to the plan. What is awesome about even that little loss is that this week was PMS and I have noticeable water weight that wasn't there last week and over indulged in some salt and fat. So when that resolves, I hope to have an encouraging loss next week.

This group helps a lot. Knowing that I am going to post my weight at the end of the week has helped me to make better choices. I ordered my first veggie pizza without cheese this week, and I didn't die! It was ok. And not a blink from the restaurant staff.

I am still logging my food in myfitnesspal just to have a backup bit of data. Yesterday I was at 9% fat, 11% protein, so even though I was higher in calories than their formula allows for my weight, I consider it a totally successful day. I was pretty danged close to Dr McDougall's macronutrient guidelines, and am getting closer to a routine that I can maintain. Plus, as we run out of nonMcDougall foods, my 13 year old daughter and my mother that I care for are having to conform to this way of life as well. My daughter is stating to try new things out of desperation. My house rules right now are she tries what I am eating and if she wants she can cook something else. She is cooking less and less now, and that is a good sign.
