I don't have a really dramatic story to share, but I am happy and proud that I have reduced my waistline and increased my fitness since re-committing to a vegan diet last year.
I thought I had reached my ideal weight about a year ago, when I weighed 125 pounds (BMI: 21.5) with a 32 inch waist (measured at the navel). But increasing my exercise while continuing to eat a lowfat, high-starch vegan diet brought my weight down even further. This week, I weighed in at 119 pounds (BMI: 20.4) with a 27 inch waist.
People are calling me "skinny", I finally met my goal of running a sub-30 minute 5K, and today I somewhat unbelievably fit into size 2 jeans. And all while eating bread, pasta, potatoes, and real sugar, never counting calories, and not feeling hungry or deprived. This is my diet style for life!

Now that’s what I'm talking about!

If you don’t stop that you’re going to die young! Probably about a hundred (or more), but you’ll still be young!
