I'm waiting to post about weight loss when I've gotten more time and pounds under my belt, but I wanted to tell about this success.

I've spent my entire life second guessing myself. I've suffered from low self-esteem and many other effects stemming from verbal abuse.

Most times, here's what happens...

Friend: Have you lost weight? You're looking really good.
Me: Well, yeah, a little. (I'm ashamed. I hate that you noticed, but I'm glad you did at the same time.)

Now!

Friend: Are you losing weight?
Me: AS A MATTER OF FACT, I AM!!!!

I'm much more confident in myself and in what I'm doing. I felt that switch in late December. It feels great.

Congratulations! It is a nice feeling, isn't it? I remember a time when I was kind of embarrassed if people talked about it. I had forgotten about that until you mentioned it.

I'll just eat more rice. Taters make my thyroid swell.
