I can't seem to find the information anywhere. What situations would the live in program or the Mcdougall diet in general be contraindicated?

Is there a specific situation you are concerned about?

Not a specific situation no. Just a general statement regarding if there is patients that should be evaluated individually for possible alternative recommendations.
If I was pressed to be more specific, would the overall dietary recommendations of the program apply to individuals who have underwent gastric bypass or resection, or have malabsorption related to gastrointestinal disease, or patients that are severely underweight?

In general, no.

Every program we get about 50-150 people from around the world with a variety of health concerns. We always adjust the program to the individual though the basic concepts, guidelines and principles stay the same.

In regard to gastric bypass, we have many patients who have gone through gastric bypass and successfully follow these program. Same with those who have malabsoprtion and/or are underweight.
